What is Inverse?

Inverse is the world's first ice conditioner - a genius hair tool that improves the condition of your hair every time you use it. Don't be fooled, it’s not a straightener. Does Inverse replace my straightener / styling tool?

Inverse does not replace your hair styler and will not straighten your hair. Inverse is a hair conditioning system that harnesses the power of ice. It locks in moisture, keeping hair irresistibly healthy while making it soft and smooth with great shine and definition. In time, you may lessen the use of your stylers, due to your hair being easier to manage.


Is Inverse an electrical device?

Inverse is not an electrical device - it's cordless. So you can use your system anytime, anywhere.

Will my hands get cold?

Your hands will not get cold when using Inverse. The Ice Cores sit within a body, which will protect your hands from the sub-zero temperatures when conditioning your hair.


How long do the Ice Cores take to freeze?

On average, it will take 2-4 hours for your Ice Cores to freeze. They can stay in the freezer for as long as you need.

How long do I have to use Inverse before I need to freeze it again?

On average, you will have around 30 minutes before needing to freeze the Ice Cores again. It takes around 10 minutes to condition your hair, but with practice you will get quicker.


Can I put the entire Ice Conditioner in the freezer (including handle)?

The Ice Cores are easy to slide in and out of the handle, so we recommend putting them in the freezer without the handle or bag. However, if you decide to put the whole system in, it will not damage the product. It may just take longer to freeze.

What is Ice Mist?

Ice Mist is the Inverse Hair Conditioning system’s best friend. It works alongside to naturally prepare your hair for Inverse Conditioning. The specific pH levels will help achieve the best conditioning result, resulting in soft, shiny and silky hair.

Do I have to use Inverse every day?

If you can use Inverse every day, that would be fantastic! If not, four times a week would suffice. Inverse is here to restore your hair over time, not to be used as a quick fix. The more you use it the better it gets!

To kick-start your hair repair, use Inverse daily in the first few weeks to really start seeing the benefits of chemical free conditioning!

Can I use it on dry hair?

Yes, Inverse can be used on dry hair, although best results stem from having wet or damp hair. 

Ice Mist is ideal for introducing moisture if you don’t wet or wash your hair daily – great for those days when you just need a quick touch-up. 

You can also use Inverse at the end of your heat styling routine, to cool hair down and help set the style for longer.


Do I need to use any hair product with Inverse?

We recommend you continue your hair routine as normal, and just add Inverse! You can continue using finishing products once completing your routine, but may see less need to use due to your hair being easier to manage.

To assist in getting the best possible results, give Ice Mist a go – it’s there to work alongside the Inverse Hair Conditioning System.

Can I use Inverse in the shower?

Yes, you can use Inverse in the shower! Once you have rinse your hair, glide the device through sections of your hair just like normal. Avoid running Inverse under hot water, as this will cause the Ice Cores to melt faster.


How to use Inverse?

Inverse is not a straightener, so clamping down hard isn’t the right way to go. Instead, lightly glide Inverse through sections of your hair a few times, instead of once and slowly. Watch the demo here.

My hair is sticking to the frozen plates, how do I stop this?

There are a few of things that you can do to help avoid this happening. Grab your Ice Cores out of the freezer and leave out for 2-3 minutes before use.
Technique is also key. Unlike your straighteners, you don’t need to clamp down too hard when gliding Inverse though your hair. If you do this quickly and more often you can avoid your hair sticking all together.


How long will it take before I see results?

Everybody’s hair is different so results vary, but on average you will notice softer, smoother hair within 7 days – so long as you use it as often as you can.

With regular use (minimum four times a week), your hair will become shinier, stronger and healthier. Don’t stop though, it just keeps on getting better.

Keen to give the Inverse 30 day challenge a go? Use Inverse a minimum of 20 times in a 30-day period (or daily if you can) and we know you’ll love Inverse as much as we do!

Will Inverse flatten my curls?

In short – no. Many of our Inverse users have found that their curls are better defined, with more life and bounce. With extended use of their Inverse Hair Conditioning System, they find less product is needed to control their hair; they have also experienced less flyways, which is a great bonus!


Is Inverse safe to use on my kids?

Yes. Inverse is safe to use on every member of the family – including pets!

In fact Inverse makes that awful experience of painfully trying to eliminate knots a thing of the past and kids just love it!

How do I clean my Inverse?

If your device gets dirty, gently use a non-abrasive cleanser to ensure you don’t scratch your device. Inverse can be submerged in water if needed. The perfect place to clean our device is after you use it in the shower (if you use it there of course!).

How to store my Inverse?

The best place to store your Ice Cores is in the freezer. Then they’re always ready to go when you are! Make sure your Inverse is laid flat in your freezer – don’t hang it up. Keep Inverse (and its parts!) safe by storing them in the carry bag when you’re not using it. This is also the best place to store the body when the Ice Cores are in the freezer.


How do I look after my Inverse?

Do not bend, modify or pull apart your Inverse. Just like you, Inverse likes to be treated with respect. Stop use immediately if cracked, damaged or leaking. Do not leave your Inverse in direct sunlight. 

How long is my Inverse guaranteed for?

Roholm warrants that this product will be free from any defects that are due to faulty materials or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the original date of consumer purchase (“Warranty Period”).

If the product should become defective within the Warranty Period, Roholm will replace the product or defective part free of charge.

Roholm does not give returns for change of mind.

Are there any exclusions to the guarantee?

This warranty does not cover products damaged by the following:

1. Accident, misuse, abuse or alteration of the product;

2. Storage or use of the product that does not comply with the instruction manual provided;

3. Use with unauthorised accessories or products;

4. Any other conditions beyond our control.

How do I claim on my guarantee?

If your product has a defect due to faulty materials or workmanship email hello@inversehair.com. Do not send your product back, before contacting the Inverse Care Team, as you will need to be issued with a returns code.

When returning your product, you must include:

1. The filled out ‘Inverse Customer Returns’ sheet, as issued by the Roholm / Inverse Care Team;

2. The defective product or part;

3. Proof of purchase date.

If any of the details above are not provided we may not be able to provide you with a replacement.
